09:00 - 17:00 Tuesday to Sunday (Closed on Mondays). Other closing schedules are subject to the announcement of the museum.

Scheduled Tour

The museum provides tour guide services at 10:30am and 2:30pm on an irregular basis. Please register at the service counter 30 minutes before the tour, and use personal IDs in exchange for radio walkie talkie tour devices. In order to maintain the tour quality, there is a limit of 20 visitors per tour.

Group Visit

For groups of 15 to 30 people, please make an online or telephone reservation 7 days before the visiting day. If there are more than 30 people, please divide them into separate groups and make separate reservations.

By car

Highway No. 1 → Chiayi interchange → Beigang Road → Jiaxiong Road Bridge → (turn right) Zhongshan Road

Parking information

There is no parking lot attached to the museum. Please use public transportation or park your vehicles at nearby parking spaces or other parking lots for a fee.

High-speed rail

Take the HSR to Chiayi Station, transfer to BRT 7211 or 7212 to the Chiayi Train Station (rear station), go across to the front station and walk for about 6 minutes.

By train

Take the train to Chiayi Station (front station), exit the station and turn right to Zhongshan Road and walk for about 3 minutes.

By bus

Take the bus to Chiayi Train Station and walk for about 5 minutes.

Notices

 
  • Please refrain from loud noises, playing, eating, smoking, and littering with paper scraps or debris in the exhibition.

  • Persons with disheveled clothing, pets, flammable or corrosive liquids, and sharp objects are not permitted. Guide dogs are exempt. 

  • Backpacks larger than A3 size should be left at the Service Desk. Stored items must be picked up before the end of the day. The Museum is not responsible for items left behind. 

  • Eating and drinking are prohibited in the exhibition. If you need to drink water, please go to the seating area near the Service Desk. Bottled beverages or water bottles should be placed in the Museum's beverage storage area prior to entering the exhibition.

  • Non-commercial photography is permitted in the museum unless otherwise noted. The use of flashlights is not permitted. To respect intellectual property rights, please do not use tripods, handheld stabilizers, or professional filming equipment.

 
  • Do not touch exhibits. For interactive exhibits, please follow the directions or instructions provided by the on-site staff.
  • Out of respect for the art and for your own safety, please do not wear roller skates or use skateboards, bicycles, or tricycles in the museum.

  • For safety reasons, the Museum restricts the use of electric scooters, allowing only those with a length of less than 120 cm and a turning diameter of less than 150 cm.

  • Strollers and wheelchairs can be borrowed from the Service Desk. Those in need may borrow equipment with photo identification.

  • Please place umbrellas in the umbrella racks outside. Compact umbrellas may be placed in your personal bag as you enter the museum.
